Robert Louis Parks

 

PARKS, Robert Louis, age 69, passed away suddenly at home, Thursday, July 4, 2019. Robert was born on July 21, 1949 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Eustace and Julia (Korzecki) Parks. Bob attended Saginaw High School and then served in the 101st Airborne for the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked 35 plus years at Grey Iron Foundry. He married the former Kathleen LaRose March 20, 1992 and she survives him.

 

Along with his wife Kathleen, Bob is survived by his children, Steven Parks, Jonathan (Ashley) Parks, Ashlee (Chris) Breternitz, Robby (Mercedes) Parks, David (Kim) Cox, Becky (Duane) Corne, Fred (Denise) Cox, Wally (Dana) Cox and Jeff (Holly) Cox; 27 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, James F. Parks, Judith (Garth) Tuxford, Karen (James) Willard, Thomas (Deborah) Parks, Lydia (Dave McGregor) Enos, James J. Parks, Timothy (Cindy) Parks, Jacqueline (Richard) Burrill and a special friends Mr. Bill Bauer, Andy May and Michael O’Connor. Along with his parents Bob was preceded in death by a son, Jason Rider.

 

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., at C.M. Humpula Funeral Home, 209 Entrepreneur Dr., St. Charles. Pastor Michael Beeckman will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service with entombment following at St. Andrews Cemetery in Saginaw. Memorial contributions can be directed to the family’s wishes.
